Caledonia Canal Cruise

31 members of the group embarked on our main summer expedition along the Caledonian Canal from Fort William to Inverness. Fourteen were Kayaking, Five were Canoeing, Six ere Sailing and the remainder making cups of tea, providing transport and trying to dry wet clothes.

The itenary was as below:

Sunday
Saw us setting off from Fort William along the canal to Gairlochy

Monday
We traveled the length of Loch Lochy and carried on to Loch Oich?

Tuesday
An easy day this one, Loch Oich and a section of canal to Fort Augustus

Wednesday
A change from the water, dismantled our main camp and moved to Inverness

Thursday
Back on the water again for the first of two days on Loch Ness, monster hunting!

Friday
An early start today and back on Loch Ness to test out those aching muscles

Saturday
The end is in sight, a short day from Loch Ness to Inverness and a party!

Although by the end of each day most of us felt in need of our beds, for those who want to live life to the full the evenings saw a chance to go bowling, swimmin (one way of getting clean) or join in with less strenuous pursuits on camp
