Food Night

We went for something a little different this time. Instead of the usual cooking session where all Scouts cook together, we divided into two groups The younger Scouts, who haven’t as yet been on expeditions, learnt how to use a Trangia and then cooked a simple meal of pasta and a sauce on the Trangia

The older Scouts, who already have plenty of experience cooking on Trangias made a simple cooker and cooked drop scones on them. The cookers were made from small tune tins, filled with corrugated cardboard and melted wax. A simple but very effective method of cooking
