This year 7 members of the group plus Clive and Karen took part in the Ripon to York canoe cruise. The Scouts and Explorer Scouts canoed or kayaked from Ripon to Aldwark where they camped overnight before continuing their journey to York. Clive and Karen however skipped the first days paddling to join the 9 other members of the water activity team on the  second day where the bell boated from Alrwark to York. A bellboat is a bit like two very long canoes joined together, virtually impossible to capsize but with  11 adults not very much freeboard!
